My Body is Rebelling

October 6th, 2011

Spending a lot of time in front of the computer is really taking its toll on me. Dizziness, neck and back pains, and headache are what I’ve been feeling lately. But as much as I want to stay away from the computer, I have a lot of things to do that requires the use of it. Browsing, reading (just about anything like credit card factoring, etc), doing tasks for my small business, and perhaps you could also include shopping. Teehee.

So I just look at it this way – it doesn’t matter if I am feeling those things for as long as I am enjoying what I am doing and productive at it too. Fair enough?

So Pleased

October 6th, 2011

My husband and I did some painting last weekend. It was not a big one though since we only painted the wall above the fireplace. It had a cream colored paint before. We wanted something bold like what we saw online so we painted it with a cinnamon color and it is really nice! I just love it!

In addition, we also did something on the side wall near the windows beside the main door. We made four vertical rectangles measuring three feet high each and a foot wide. I am going to put 8 x 10 photos on it. I’ve seen the design on HGTV and I definitely liked the idea. We also painted it cinnamon to match the wall above the fireplace.

I have yet to put the photos because I will still buy frames this weekend. I can’t wait to see them on the wall.

Out in the Country

October 5th, 2011

It was one weekend – forgot exactly when – when the husband took me and my son to this little town which was situated in about a 30 minute ride from our city. The town has vast agricultural lands. We saw cattle, barns and many farms. There were many old-time log cabins which really are so pretty. I guess it is nice on the inside too, probably filled with lodge furniture.

I can just imagine how serene living there could be. No noise from vehicles and all you can hear are the chirping of birds, sounds of farm animals and the sound of trees and leaves blown by the wind. That is how I imagine I will be living in the future, hopefully.

Please Don’t Go, Summer!

September 28th, 2011

Fall has finally began. Lucky for us though because our temperature is still in the 70’s and 80’s unlike in some states who are starting to get to lows in the 50’s. So basically, we can still enjoy our summer clothes like shorts, tees and those easy spirit sandals.

We will make the most of it while we still can because for certain, we will not be able to enjoy it by next month. Enjoy the summer clothing while it lasts!

Feeling Under the Weather

September 23rd, 2011

I’ve not been feeling good since Wednesday though I can say, I feel a lot better today than yesterday. I guess it has something to do with the weather. I am not sure if the flu season has started, but it has been raining here lately. It was my son who first got cold. He is okay now so, I think it is my turn, huh? My husband didn’t feel good yesterday too when he arrived from work, but after taking med last night, he woke up feeling a lot better.

That made me glad. I don’t mind getting sick at all since I can lay down anytime I want unlike him who needs to work his butt off. He can take a leave if he really doesn’t feel good at all, but knowing him, for as long as he can still handle it, he will work. That’s how hardworking he is.

I am on my way to recovery now though. So glad!!!

Money Saved is Money Earned

September 19th, 2011

Compare, compare, compare! With regards to prices that is a given when it comes to shopping or anything that you could think of that involves money. Because we do know that with the competition revolving around the marketplace, there is always great deals out there if you take the time to look. So more often than not, it is the consumer that wins when they‘re patient, and if you are resourceful enough to look for the greatest deal available, like me.

We will be shopping for new kitchen appliances probably this weekend so, yeah, you got it right: I am in the middle of comparing prices of different brands from different stores. I’ve already seen some good affordable stuff, but I am not going to stop yet. I am still taking my chances I might find some more good stuff.

He’s the One That Lights My Fire

September 19th, 2011

It has been really chilly today. I had the furnace on, but it felt like it didn’t warm the house at all. Maybe the best thing for me to do is use the fire place or perhaps, go outside and light the outdoor firepit. That sounds like a good idea, but with the husband by my side.

I don’t want to go out and sit there alone. Isn’t it more romantic to feel the warm of the firepit as well as feel the warmth of your husband too? That would be the best furnace ever. You reckon? LOL.
