Making My Home Pretty

November 19th, 2011

Don’t you just love it when you see elegant yet affordable home makeovers? It never fails to amaze me. That is where I get ideas on how to make our humble abode a little updated. It doesn’t mean buying new furniture and other home decors, though. Most of the time, I just make use of what I have.

But if I had the budget, I wouldn’t have second thoughts of buying new furniture like a new center table perhaps. I’ve seen nice ones at furniture los angeles, but not yet can I make the purchase. Soon, perhaps. It totally depends on the budget. For now, I am happy doing simple things. The most important thing is, I am being complimented. And that is because my son and husband love the decorating ideas that I do.

I’m Still My Son’s Nurse

November 19th, 2011

We went shopping for Thanksgiving today and I saw this bunch of ladies in their medical uniforms that were really nice and colorful. I told myself, if I had pursued my nursing career, I would have been wearing the same.

But oh well, no regrets. I know that career path was not for me. I knew it from the start, but I was at the crossroads at that time when I initially chose it, and not thinking if it was really what I wanted to do in life. I am happy with my chosen path now, still in the healthcare industry, but the job is less stressful not to mention that I am happy with it.

It’s Pizza Night Once Again!

November 19th, 2011

We usually have our pizzas or microwave dinners on Sundays. And that is because it is my day-off when it comes to cooking. LOL. The husband being so sweet and loving, he decided on that one. But since we are going to spend our day and have our dinner at his brother’s house tomorrow, so we had the pizza tonight.

My son and I had triple cheese pizza while the husband had his favorite pepperoni with enormous amount of black olives. He always prefers it that way. I paired mine with a glass of apple juice as well as the son while the husband had his most favorite beverage of all time, iced tea.

I’m full! Burp!!!

The Cheaper the Better

November 7th, 2011

Sales and coupons codes are two important things for me when I go shopping either online, or not. Why spend so much when you can get it for less? My eyes really grow big whenever I see great deals and more often than not, I can’t help myself. My hands get itchy and I need to get something or I will end up crying. LOL.

Seriously, I don’t grab all the great deals that I see. It totally depends on the budget and our needs though, I must admit, my shopping has got to do with only wants sometimes. What can I say? It’s one of my weaknesses.

At Least I Don’t Have to Fight Rush Hour Traffic

November 2nd, 2011

I am a stay-at-home mom. I am a housekeeper and though some don’t consider it a career, I do have a different perspective on it because I find it fulfilling to do things for my family knowing that I am making them happy which is more than enough reason for me to stay at home and be a housekeeper.

I know I am not the only wife or mom who perceives it this way. A lot of us are happy and fulfilled in this set-up and though it can be tiring because we can compare what we do to Housekeeper Jobs without the pay. It is not easy like many think, but the most important thing is we are happy and we are making our family happy.

Dizzy Spells

October 25th, 2011

I don’t know what is really wrong with me, but I get dizzy whenever I turn my head to the left abruptly. Am I anemic? Do I lack oxygen? Because I think I’ve read somewhere before that dizziness could be because of lack of oxygen in some part of the brain. Am I right about this? I am not sure though if that was what I read. Now I am confused. LOL.

Anyhow, I am just hoping this is not something that I should be alarmed about. I’ve been experiencing this since last year and though it has always been the same dizziness and hasn’t gotten worse, still, I want to know why I am suffering from this. I do hope I will be enlightened soon.

The Outer Banks Look Out of This World!

October 12th, 2011

Our good friend, Carol just arrived from her Outer Banks vacation yesterday. It was her second time to see the place and based on the postcards that she sent us, the place is really awesome. She went there with her husband and they took one of those vacation rentals near the ocean.

I still haven’t seen her photos because she hasn’t downloaded them yet, but I am certain I will see them soon. If not on Facebook, maybe this weekend because we are going to have a get-together again.
