He’s So Sweet

January 9th, 2012

I guess you already know who I am talking about. But of course, no one else, but my husband.

He always calls me every single day while at work to check how I am doing and also to update me of what he’s been up to. Normally, he would call me around 9 o’clock in the morning. Today, he did call me at the same time and I thought that was it. But at about 1 o’clock in the afternoon, he called me once again and I thought it is to inform me that he will work overtime or whatever, but nah. He only called to say “I LOVE YOU!”

Aaahhh, isn’t that the sweetest?

Us Women Know Each Other

December 26th, 2011

I have this girlfriend who just like me is so into bags. Well, it’s one of the many of women’s weaknesses, isn’t it? So for Christmas, I gave her one. And though it wasn’t one of those bags in this website’s wide selection of leather gifts for her, still, she was so happy and delighted about what I got for her. I do know what her taste is when it comes to bags since we have the same likes and, actually, it’s almost the same bag that I got for myself on my birthday. Wooot!

It’s the Thought That Counts

December 19th, 2011

It’s five more days until Christmas. Yeehaw!!!

I am really excited, but I am more excited for my son and my husband. It always excites me to see the expressions on their faces when they open their gifts. Though my gifts are simple, unlike those cheap morgan dollars, I know they will really be surprised, especially the husband. I can just imagine the look on their faces. Teehee.

It’s Pouring Rain

December 16th, 2011

The rain’s been pouring since early morning today, but surprisingly, it’s not that cold. Well, the temp is on the 50’s now which is more like it since I don’t really like it when it’s too cold. I have to pick up my son at the bus stop on foot so just imagine if it will be in the 20’s or below. I would certainly freeze my butt off. LOL.

But you know what? Yes, I don’t like it when it is too cold, but I am definitely looking forward to snow. I want us to have a White Christmas. But I think we’ll not have one this year unlike last year. As per the weather forecast, our temps will be in the 50’s and 60’s until the end of the month. Oh well, better luck next year, huh!?

Nevertheless, God gave us our share of White Christmas last year, which was also our first Christmas here in the U.S. That was really really perfect!

There’s No Place Like Home

December 5th, 2011

I was in the middle of browsing about rapid detox centers when my friend, Lucille, from Michigan called me this morning. It was her break time and she always calls me during that time. We talked about her and her husband’s vacation plans for next year. They’re going to visit our home country hopefully in the middle of the year.

We also have plans of visiting my family back home, but not next year; hopefully, in the early part of 2013. The thought of it is really getting me excited. I do hope we will be able to do it. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Where Did My Summer Go?

November 30th, 2011

We have had freezing temperature since yesterday. We actually had our first snow flurries yesterday. It will be like this until tomorrow, then after that the temperature will be back to the 50’s once again.

And talking about the weather reminds me of my husband who was thinking of buying himself a new jacket that he will use at work. Thus, I have been browsing and those carhartt jackets are really nice. That would be a nice Christmas gift! He’d be delighted for sure.

It’s Christmas in Our Home

November 24th, 2011

It’s Thanksgiving and other than celebrating it with family, we thought it is the best time too to start decorating for Christmas. We bought a new Christmas tree as well as outdoor lights because we haven’t done it last year. It was my idea because it makes me feel so joyful whenever I see lights in different colors outside the house. We’ve always done it back home. Glad the husband agreed with me on that because it was actually his first time to put those outdoor lights.

And just like last year, the husband did most of the job. My son, Yogi and I did put up the Christmas Tree as well as decorate it. And the rest was the husband’s job. He decorated the mantle on top of the fireplace as well as put garlands on the counter. We are so pleased with what we did. We really love it!!!
