It’s Pouring Rain

Friday, December 16th, 2011

The rain’s been pouring since early morning today, but surprisingly, it’s not that cold. Well, the temp is on the 50’s now which is more like it since I don’t really like it when it’s too cold. I have to pick up my son at the bus stop on foot so just imagine if it will be in the 20’s or below. I would certainly freeze my butt off. LOL.

But you know what? Yes, I don’t like it when it is too cold, but I am definitely looking forward to snow. I want us to have a White Christmas. But I think we’ll not have one this year unlike last year. As per the weather forecast, our temps will be in the 50’s and 60’s until the end of the month. Oh well, better luck next year, huh!?

Nevertheless, God gave us our share of White Christmas last year, which was also our first Christmas here in the U.S. That was really really perfect!

Where Did My Summer Go?

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

We have had freezing temperature since yesterday. We actually had our first snow flurries yesterday. It will be like this until tomorrow, then after that the temperature will be back to the 50’s once again.

And talking about the weather reminds me of my husband who was thinking of buying himself a new jacket that he will use at work. Thus, I have been browsing and those carhartt jackets are really nice. That would be a nice Christmas gift! He’d be delighted for sure.

Please Don’t Go, Summer!

Fall has finally began. Lucky for us though because our temperature is still in the 70’s and 80’s unlike in some states who are starting to get to lows in the 50’s. So basically, we can still enjoy our summer clothes like shorts, tees and those easy spirit sandals.

We will make the most of it while we still can because for certain, we will not be able to enjoy it by next month. Enjoy the summer clothing while it lasts!

I’m Super Duper Freezing!

Friday, September 16th, 2011

The temperature has been in the 50’s since last night and the news forecast says it will be like this until the weekend. This is something unusual as they say because it is not even fall yet. It’s too early to get chilly like this. Well, the heat was felt as early as spring so I think it is not something to wonder about.

I am wearing my thermal pants and thermal long-sleeved shirt now, but I am still freezing. I can even hardly type here because my fingers seem to be frozen. LOL. The husband told me to run the furnace, but I am still lazy to get up. Maybe I will do it once I already froze my butt in here. The question is, will I still be able to stand up and turn it on once I already froze like ice? Duh! LOL.

Seriously, I feel like I am inside the refrigerator now. Brrr!!! Time to move my butt and turn on the furnace!

Is It Fall Yet?

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

I woke up feeling cold today. I thought it was because the husband left the window open when he left for work. But it is already early in the afternoon now and yet, I am still feeling cold. I had to brew me a cup of coffee and felt a little hot and sweaty. That was ten minutes ago and I am now feeling cold again. It actually feels like fall to me now.

Fall is still more or less a month away, but it is not surprising actually because it already felt summer in late spring. Brrr! I will have a hot shower in a while and I am hoping this feeling of being cold will disappear by then.

Family Fun in the Offing

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

After the devastating wild weather that hit our state last weekend, we are now looking at days of glorious weather. It reached 70 degrees yesterday and today will be the same and in the coming days it gets even better.

I hope these lovely days will continue so we will be able to enjoy the outdoors especially the commercial playground equipment that the city has at a playground near a lake that is only about a mile drive from our home. My son will be happy with the idea no doubt.

I’ll Be Glad When Winter is Over

Friday, February 25th, 2011

The temperature inside the house is already 70 degrees, but I am still freezing, and that’s after I drank a glass of cold milk. I had to stand in front of the register because I can really feel my hands shaking. LOL.

I am feeling a lot better now. It’s time to continue with my task – check for weight loss pills for my good friend, Mabelle. She is not going to use them soon since she is still pregnant, but we are both the type who plan ahead of time; we don’t wait for the time when it’s needed. She will be using the pills for certain because she has gained a lot of weight. She is busy attending to her other kid so I offered to help. So gotta go, folks! I’ve got some tasks to accomplish.
