Still Exhausted

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

From our recent trip, that is. It was my first time to have drove  eight hours straight to and ten hours straight on our way back. I wasn’t the one who drive though since I don’t know how to drive yet, but still it was so exhausting on my part. Maybe because I wasn’t used to it.I actually admired the husband’s energy. He was the one who drove all the way yet, he was still energized afterwards. I think I really need an exercise.

But though it was exhausting, every second of the trip was definitely worth it. And I am actually looking forward to our next trip. Wherever and whenever that is, you will soon find out. (“,)

Adventures in Paradise

Saturday, November 20th, 2010

Traveling to westward this year was a great adventure for my fiancé. He arrived on Monday but unfortunately, his luggage didn’t arrive with him. The airline that he flew with screwed up royally, leaving his luggage behind where he connected with his international flight and it arrived in our city on the 4th day after his arrival.

He didn’t have clothes to wear but gladly, mom has oversized shirts and dad has oversized shorts  so he made use of them in the meantime. All his toiletries were in the luggage so I bought him some. Good thing he packed his cellphone charger and telephone batteries, I mean, cellphone batteries with him in his carry-on bag or else, his family back home wouldn’t have been able to contact him.

What happened was really annoying and I am hoping we will not experience it on our trip on to eastward. Wish us luck!

He’s the Honey in My Honeymoon

Thursday, November 18th, 2010

We still have a lot of things to do as soon as we get to my fiancés country, like preparing for the wedding and my change of status, but you know what? We are already planning for our soon to be honeymoon this early. Hee hee. That’s how excited we are and my fiancé is actually already checking for packages. He is planning to take me to these places he so loves – Branson and New York City. He’s already asked his travel agent to provide him with Branson vacation packages as well as packages for the Big Apple. He hasn’t got the details yet but we still have plenty of time for that. But knowing him, for certain he will keep on following up on it until he gets the answers.

Manila, Manila, I Keep Coming Back to Manila

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

We make the most of our 10-day stay in Manila. Though we didn’t really go there for an ultimate vacation but we made sure that we can still squeeze in some leisure time in between mine and my son’s missions.

We went to malls and visited some tourist destinations that my son would surely love like the Manila Ocean Park and the Children’s Museum (Museo Pambata) which are both just a walking distance from the hotel that we stayed in. But we didn’t go there walking of course because we were not familiar with the place. We rode in a taxi and that’s when we found out how close those places were to us. (“,)

We went to visit relatives too from a nearby city. Relatives that I met for the first time. Yes, after all these years. And it was really good to see and meet them.

It was a trip full of adventure especially during our last night wherein my son had a mishap which I talked about here. But that problem was already taken care of as of the moment and what a relief it is.

That won’t be our last trip to Manila. We will be visiting the place again soon, with my BA that is, and I can hardly wait!

An Adventuresome Day in the Life

Friday, May 7th, 2010

For the first time in my life, I traveled to Davao City alone on Wednesday and it truly was exciting because I was really wondering just where that driver got his license. I felt fortunate and blessed to have arrived in one piece. LOL!

The city is a three-hour drive from my city and traveling there that day wasn’t in my plan at all. It was an impromptu decision from Dad who informed me around mid-morning that he had a must-do task for me. So I left at 12 Noon and arrived in Davao at around 3 o’clock, and finally got to have my lunch. I’m sure glad I didn’t pass out because my belly pets sure were barking at me. Hehe.

I had my lunch at the mall and window shopped a little before proceeding to my actual destination. There were a lot of nice clothes, shoes and bags that really made me drool. LOL. Those hot tub covers caught my attention too while passing the home improvement section on my way out of the mall because I remembered that my fiancé mentioned installing a hot tub for us after we’re together.

Anyway, I went straight to our client’s office after that, delivered the documents, and that was it. It didn’t even take me an hour; window shopping, and all. Then I caught a cab back to the bus terminal, got on the bus and came home. But I’m sure you can imagine how tiring that was; six hours on the road and all I got out of it was a little store browsing, and I could have stayed at home and did that. (“,)
