Good People Deserve To Be Recognized

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

I’m glad it’s already Sunday. I’ve been looking forward to this day because this is the only time I can go out with my fiancé because he doesn’t have work. Our plan for today is to shop for gifts for Christmas. We haven’t made a list yet but we’re going to do it in a few minutes. It’s always good to have a list so we will not forget anything.

Aside from the gifts, I will buy thank you cards too for my fiancé’s family. They’ve always been very nice and supportive of us and they certainly deserve to be given thanks. I have this feeling though that a thank you card won’t be enough. If our budget will allow it, they will not just be receiving cards but a simple token of my appreciation as well.

Plan Ahead and Be Prepared

Monday, May 10th, 2010

A visit from an elementary friend’s brother surprised me the other day. As soon as I went out of the house to greet him, I know he was carrying good news with him because of the smile on his face. But I never expected that it would be about my friend’s wedding. Well, I am happy for her because she’s tying the knot soon but I actually thought she had already married her long-time boyfriend and had just forgotten to invite me. HEE-HEE-HEE.

I got a simple but nice invitation. The wedding will be on June 8 and I think I will browse for a nice wedding gift and shop for a nice formal dress for me, too, since it will be a formal ceremony. What would be the nicest wedding gift to give? Maybe a prenatal vitamin supply, boxes of ‘em,because I’m sure she’ll be needing them in a few months’ time after the wedding. Just kidding! But you get the idea, huh? (“,)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Yeah, I know I’m already a day late but I totally forgot about it. If my fiance’ didn’t remind me, I wouldn’t really remember. But you can’t really blame me because we don’t celebrate it here in our country. I only read it on blogs before but I don’t really know why they celebrate it and how they celebrate it.

My fiance’ told me about it and yesterday, he did celebrate by having a Shepard’s pie and an Irish whisky at his favorite pub with his friends. I’ll probably get to celebrate it soon and for sure, I’ll get a slice of the Shepard’s pie too. No whisky for me! Hehe.

Postponed Plan

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

We were supposed to visit my hubby’s and grandparents’ tombs this afternoon but due to unavoidable circumstances, it was postponed. We were just waiting for sundown so it won’t be so hot and crowded at the memorial park but dad changed his mind. He’s been working since this morning, finishing his drawings for a client which made him exhausted in the afternoon already.

It’s okay though since we still have tomorrow to pay them a visit. And I really hope tomorrow’s plan won’t be postponed like today. It’s been a while that we haven’t visited their tombs and this is the best time to pay respect since it’s All Soul’s Day.

Supposedly…

We’re going to the cemetery today to visit my hubby’s tomb. It’s his death anniversary but unfortunately, the car broke down a couple of days ago when dad was on his way to a nearby city. I thought the car will be fixed today but there are parts to be replaced and sadly, they aren’t available in the stores here. They will be ordered yet and i don’t know when the mechanic will get to have it and fixed the car.

It’s already 5 o’clock in the afternoon and i don’t think we’d be able to make it to hubby’s resting place. It will take about half an hour to get there and if we can’t make it today, then we’ll do it tomorrow or as soon as the car is already okay. My hubby will understand me, i know. (“,)

Merry Christmas to All!

Home Alone

Saturday, December 13th, 2008
The subdivision where we live in is having its Christmas Party tonight. Mom asked me to come along but i thought no one would be left here at home so i decided to stay. My nephew just brought me a plate of Roasted Pig or better known here as Lechon for my dinner. I only ate a slice. I’m simply not in the mood to eat much. I always don’t have the appetite whenever i eat alone.

Anyways, it’s now midnight and they are still not here. I’ve already been sleepy three hours ago since my bed time is at 9 o’clock. I’m just keeping myself busy surfing the net, blog hopping and dropping entrecards. My eyes are now drooping but i think they’ll be here any minute so i just have to wait. It’s the best thing to do, i guess since my sleep will still be disturbed if i’ll hit the bed now. So i’d rather wait.
