An Adventuresome Day in the Life

Friday, May 7th, 2010

For the first time in my life, I traveled to Davao City alone on Wednesday and it truly was exciting because I was really wondering just where that driver got his license. I felt fortunate and blessed to have arrived in one piece. LOL!

The city is a three-hour drive from my city and traveling there that day wasn’t in my plan at all. It was an impromptu decision from Dad who informed me around mid-morning that he had a must-do task for me. So I left at 12 Noon and arrived in Davao at around 3 o’clock, and finally got to have my lunch. I’m sure glad I didn’t pass out because my belly pets sure were barking at me. Hehe.

I had my lunch at the mall and window shopped a little before proceeding to my actual destination. There were a lot of nice clothes, shoes and bags that really made me drool. LOL. Those hot tub covers caught my attention too while passing the home improvement section on my way out of the mall because I remembered that my fiancé mentioned installing a hot tub for us after we’re together.

Anyway, I went straight to our client’s office after that, delivered the documents, and that was it. It didn’t even take me an hour; window shopping, and all. Then I caught a cab back to the bus terminal, got on the bus and came home. But I’m sure you can imagine how tiring that was; six hours on the road and all I got out of it was a little store browsing, and I could have stayed at home and did that. (“,)

An Angel’s Touch

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

My fiancé told me he was going to renovate his home and make it a castle fit for his Angel to land at. And he’s really excited about that, though we still have a few dusty roads to travel before I get to land there. But he has already been window shopping for new home decor last weekend, as well as some outdoor decor too. He’s already found a lot he likes, and his favorite piece of outdoor décor that he found was a stainless grill that would be perfect on the back deck. But he’s going to wait for my arrival before he buys anything because he wants my approval of the choices he’s made.

I trust my fiancé’s tastes, but being the always sweet person that he is, he wants my input on the redecorating and renovation choices he’s made because it will then not only be his home, but “our” home. And as he likes to say, no home can truly be a home unless it’s shared together with a lady love and has had her special signature touch put upon it. I can hardly wait until I can begin touching! Music Motivates Me

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Today’s household chores really wore me out. The house was in total chaos after loading all of the materials for Dad’s out of town project last night. There were about thirty workers who loaded the materials into the two 10-wheeler trucks. What caused most of the mess all around the house were the eight hundred bags of cement. There was so much grey dust blown around by the wind that entered the house. I had to swipe everything, from the furniture to the ornaments, etc. The floor was filthy, too; you could see footprints where everyone walked through, so I had to scrub and mop it. And to top it off, I even had to change the curtains. Whew!

I always have one of my MP3 players with me while doing the chores because listening to music perks me up and gets me going, helping me get the job done without feeling so tired. Today was different, however: I’m absolutely exhausted. But I’m done with the chores and I get to spend the rest of the day resting. So, see ya, bye ya, for now!

Never Ending

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Though i can say that i’m a homebody, there are still those times that daily routine makes me bored and sometimes gets me in a mood – a mood that anybody would find annoying and irritating. LOL. I bet moms or women in general knows about the daily household chores that we need to take care of every single day and it’s never ending.

I even heard mom talking to a friend on the phone earlier about the never ending household chores. Well, what can i say? Such is life and no one’s going to take care of it but us. Oh well…
