Our good friend, Carol just arrived from her Outer Banks vacation yesterday. It was her second time to see the place and based on the postcards that she sent us, the place is really awesome. She went there with her husband and they took one of those vacation rentals near the ocean.
I still haven’t seen her photos because she hasn’t downloaded them yet, but I am certain I will see them soon. If not on Facebook, maybe this weekend because we are going to have a get-together again.
Guess what is keeping me busy today? While I am waiting for the clothes to get dry in the dryer, I am browsing this website on park model trailers again. Yes, again, because it is not only today that I have checked them. I have been checking the site regularly. You want to know why? It’s because I just love the interior inside those trailers, most especially the kitchen. I would say it is my dream kitchen.
If I only had the money now, I would buy one of those trailers, but we are simply on a tight budget at the moment. In the near future perhaps? We’ll see about that.
I’ve been looking for great deals on appliances since last night. Our neighbor got an awesome deal on her kitchen appliances which included a refrigerator, electric stove and dishwasher. I am looking for the same things, plus a home theater system and I did find some that really are so affordable.
There was a side by side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and electric oven for only 900 bucks. Isn’t that cool? I am still continuing my search for the home theater system. I hope I will be lucky enough to find a samsung home theatre system that would fit our budget. Good luck to me!
The husband was such a busy boy today. He mowed and cleaned the yard – front and back, he cleaned the roof and got rid of all the leaves, he disposed of the materials that needed to be recycled because the bins were full, and he went shopping for groceries. I didn’t want him to go shopping because I knew he was tired, but he ran out of canned vegetables that he will pair with the chicken for dinner, and he can’t have dinner without his vegetables, so he went.
He is such a hardworking man which I am so proud of not to mention, a good boy too. And that is not only today, but everyday. (“,)
I have no idea what the crime rate here in our city is. I’ve only been here for less than three months and so far, so good. I did ask our good friend, Carol one time about the crime rate here as of late, and she said she hasn’t heard any lately. But there was a high rate of crimes before most especially on burglary and domestic violence.
I was so eager to know because I am always left home with my 7-year-old son since my hubby works eight hours a day, and I want to be sure if we need to put up a home alarm or better yet home security cameras. We have a big property and the nearest neighbor we’ve got lives about half a mile. I am still weighing things out though if we really need to put some. I think I need to think about it and decide soon. It’s always better to be safe than to be sorry, right?
My fiancé will be shopping for door hardware this weekend after finally finishing the repainting of the bedrooms. He needs to replace the door knobs in those rooms. Though they are still usable, they really look old, per him. I haven’t seen the knobs so I am trusting everything to him. I actually browsed for door hardware at the same time online while we were talking on Skype and I found some that I like and that’s the Baldwin door hardware. They were not only affordable but very sophisticated.
I immediately informed him upon seeing the wide array of door hardware so he could check it out himself. He found them nice too, but still has yet to decide which one he likes. I don’t know exactly what’s making him indecisive. Or maybe he’s playing his game again, as if he doesn’t like my choices and then will just surprise me later after he’s already bought them
Hmmm…that do make me think. Yeah, maybe that is it! Gotcha, Honey! You can’t fool me. You’re just trying to pull one of your famous, and notorious gotchas on me. Hee hee!
For the first time in my life, I traveled to Davao City alone on Wednesday and it truly was exciting because I was really wondering just where that driver got his license. I felt fortunate and blessed to have arrived in one piece. LOL!
The city is a three-hour drive from my city and traveling there that day wasn’t in my plan at all. It was an impromptu decision from Dad who informed me around mid-morning that he had a must-do task for me. So I left at 12 Noon and arrived in Davao at around 3 o’clock, and finally got to have my lunch. I’m sure glad I didn’t pass out because my belly pets sure were barking at me. Hehe.
I had my lunch at the mall and window shopped a little before proceeding to my actual destination. There were a lot of nice clothes, shoes and bags that really made me drool. LOL. Those hot tub covers caught my attention too while passing the home improvement section on my way out of the mall because I remembered that my fiancé mentioned installing a hot tub for us after we’re together.
Anyway, I went straight to our client’s office after that, delivered the documents, and that was it. It didn’t even take me an hour; window shopping, and all. Then I caught a cab back to the bus terminal, got on the bus and came home. But I’m sure you can imagine how tiring that was; six hours on the road and all I got out of it was a little store browsing, and I could have stayed at home and did that. (“,)
