I Want a Perfect Kitchen to Go With a Perfect Entertainment Center

Thursday, July 14th, 2011

I’ve been looking for great deals on appliances since last night. Our neighbor got an awesome deal on her kitchen appliances which included a refrigerator, electric stove and dishwasher. I am looking for the same things, plus a home theater system and I did find some that really are so affordable.

There was a side by side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and electric oven for only 900 bucks. Isn’t that cool? I am still continuing my search for the home theater system. I hope I will be lucky enough to find a samsung home theatre system that would fit our budget. Good luck to me!

Family Fun in the Offing

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

After the devastating wild weather that hit our state last weekend, we are now looking at days of glorious weather. It reached 70 degrees yesterday and today will be the same and in the coming days it gets even better.

I hope these lovely days will continue so we will be able to enjoy the outdoors especially the commercial playground equipment that the city has at a playground near a lake that is only about a mile drive from our home. My son will be happy with the idea no doubt.

Help Awaits Those Who Seek

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Gloomy weather like today makes me think of one thing to do: sleep. I guess I am not the only one who thinks of such a thing in a weather like this. It’s chilly outside and there’s nothing much to do to so I might as well sleep.

But nah! My bed is calling me but I am trying my best not to be tempted. I still have things to do. I am done with the chores, but I still need to take a shower. I was going to take a shower an hour ago, but the latest about Charlie Sheen’s story got me hooked to the TV screen again. Is he really addicted to drugs or is he merely alcoholic? Perhaps he needs heroin detox if drugs are the demon that haunts him.

Oh well! It’s his problem, not mine. But even though I am not a fan of his, still, I am hoping that he’ll get back to the normal life that he once had. He’s pitiful now.

He’s a Gamer, But He Want to Go Big-time

Saturday, October 9th, 2010

My son came home the other day all excited after visiting his friend. His friend got a PS3 for his birthday which lit a fire in my son’s head because he’s got to have one now, so he says. He’s used to playing these games, but this one had even more goodies than he’s used to, such as the PS3 Bluetooth Wireless Headset and Dual Shock controllers so you can hear and feel, totally experience, the excitement of the game. He said it was as if you were actually in the screen being part of the adventure, not just sitting there and playing it; such an imagination he has. And since he likes war games and cars so much, he already has a list of Playstation3 games he wants, like Call of Duty and MX vs ATV. Oh well, I’ll certainly not have a problem with his Christmas list this year, huh?

You Too Can See U2

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

While listening to the radio yesterday, I heard U2’s “With or Without You” – my most favorite song by them. They are one of my favorite bands and it has been my dream to see them in a concert and singing their songs live right in front of me. I have two of their albums, gifts from friends because they know that I am really a fan.

But I haven’t heard updates about the group recently. Or maybe I was just left out. Hmmm…maybe I will just browse online and see what I’ve missed and see what I have to look forward to. I hope it’s not yet too late for me to grab some U2 tickets if they’re having a nearby concert anytime soon. It would surely be nice to see them with my fiancé. Gotta go check now! And maybe we’ll see you there! (“,)

Thank Goodness for Battery Power

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

It’s hot, though gloomy, and even gloomier because of the power outage due to the rotating brownouts in my area. What a day! I’m glad we have our ipods to keep us (my son and I) company. At least we can enjoy listening to music and forget what we’re going through at the moment. Listening to music is a good relaxing pastime, and it can help you forget your troubles and help you pass the time while singing along with the music, and before we know it, maybe our power will be back on. Or maybe we’ll just doze off and take a nap and wake up to lights. Whatever! I’m just enjoying the music I’ve downloaded.

And thankfully, this laptop of mine is fully charged so I can blab here while listening to my ipod. But still, I can feel the heat because we have no fans or air conditioning. Oh well, can’t do anything about it.

Pacquiao vs. Clottey on Pay Per View

Monday, March 15th, 2010

The whole family was here at home yesterday to watch the bout of Pacquiao vs. Clottey on pay per view. How I wish we have seen it live in Texas. LOL. But since it’s really far from possible, I just took shots of the match on TV and you can see them below. Nevertheless, watching it on TV is still very exciting though a little disappointing because Pacquiao didn’t knock off Clottey. Hee hee.

That’s Manny with his team marching down towards the ring.

That’s the Filipino artist and Journey’s lead vocals, Arnel Pineda (in brown jacket) singing the Philippines’ National Anthem.

And these women’s voices really surprised me, huh! Thought they’re only good in dancing and cheering but they really did well in singing “Star-Spangled Banner”. Way to go girls!
