It’s five more days until Christmas. Yeehaw!!!

I am really excited, but I am more excited for my son and my husband. It always excites me to see the expressions on their faces when they open their gifts. Though my gifts are simple, unlike those cheap morgan dollars, I know they will really be surprised, especially the husband. I can just imagine the look on their faces. Teehee.

It’s Christmas in Our Home

It’s Thanksgiving and other than celebrating it with family, we thought it is the best time too to start decorating for Christmas. We bought a new Christmas tree as well as outdoor lights because we haven’t done it last year. It was my idea because it makes me feel so joyful whenever I see lights in different colors outside the house. We’ve always done it back home. Glad the husband agreed with me on that because it was actually his first time to put those outdoor lights.

And just like last year, the husband did most of the job. My son, Yogi and I did put up the Christmas Tree as well as decorate it. And the rest was the husband’s job. He decorated the mantle on top of the fireplace as well as put garlands on the counter. We are so pleased with what we did. We really love it!!!

This year’s Christmas was really memorable for me because aside from having a white Christmas, I received a lot of gifts, not just from my fiancé but from his family, too; and not to forget, Santa. I never thought Santa would also put something in my stocking but he did. I was a good girl the whole year through, that’s why. Hee hee. That was really a nice surprise and I think Santa talked to my fiance’ because he knew exactly what to give me. It was one of the Rebecca Minkoff handbags that I had told my fiance’ about which we saw online. A conspiracy there, huh! No problem! Thanks, again Santa and to my fiancé for being so generous. Mwah!

Good People Deserve To Be Recognized

I’m glad it’s already Sunday. I’ve been looking forward to this day because this is the only time I can go out with my fiancé because he doesn’t have work. Our plan for today is to shop for gifts for Christmas. We haven’t made a list yet but we’re going to do it in a few minutes. It’s always good to have a list so we will not forget anything.

Aside from the gifts, I will buy thank you cards too for my fiancé’s family. They’ve always been very nice and supportive of us and they certainly deserve to be given thanks. I have this feeling though that a thank you card won’t be enough. If our budget will allow it, they will not just be receiving cards but a simple token of my appreciation as well.

I Can Already Feel the Spirit; It’s in the Air!

Yes, ’tis almost that time, again; Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas! Well, I may be a wee bit early but I truly am excited because this is going to be one of my most special Christmas seasons ever. Why, you may wonder? Because…because I will be sharing it with my new hubby, that’s why. (“,)

Though not yet together and married, we will be by then. And he’s already ahead of the game, having got rid of all his old decorations and replacing them with new goodies, to make our first Chrismas together a special one full of beautiful memories.

He’s bought new decorations for the tree, new candles and wreaths and he’s especially pleased with the C6 led christmas lights he got to replace the old antique bulbs he grew up with. Yes, he still had them, the ones that were on his tree when he was a little boy, the screw in type. Wow! Them truly are antiques. And the one thing that will really make this a memorable Christmas for me is that for the first time I will be where it is actually cold. Since I come from a land of eternal summer, when I find myself in the mountains of Western North Carolina, I’ll have the experience of a lifetime, a true winter Christmas. And who knows? I may actually see a white Christmas. Yes, “I’m dreaming of a White Christmas.” Sorry, Bing.

Christmas Fever

And I’m talking about fever literally. I’ve been sick since Christmas Eve. Not the whole night though. It was around 11 o’clock in the evening, right after our party here at home when I felt my throat itching. Around midnight, I started to sniffle and when I woke up the next day, I already feel so bad that I felt my chest congested with phlegm. That day also started my cough and colds.

And today was no better. I am having a headache because of my colds. I’ve been taking medicines but they didn’t seem to work. Oh well, what a nice Christmas gift, eh. Hee hee. It’s okay. Everybody here has been sick the past few weeks too. I know it has something to do with the weather. I’m still barking like a dog now and most probably tomorrow, I’ll be meowing like a cat. Harhar.
