When Disappointment Strikes!

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

I bet you know the feeling of disappointment and perhaps, frustration when your expectation on something is so high and all of a sudden, it didn’t go the way you wanted it to be. It is really upsetting that I wanted to roll down and cry. LOL. Glad I still managed to make fun of it when in fact what happened today was really frustrating to the highest level. GRRR!

But there’s nothing I can do about it now and the more I rant about it, the more it will just ruin my day and I will not gain anything from it at all anyway. So, I think the best way for me to do is move on and just forget about the whole thing. It’s not the end of everything yet anyway so what the heck!!!

You’re Never Too Old To Learn

I am a degree holder – a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Commerce, and a major in management, to be precise. I was able to find myself a decent job right after graduation but, sad to say, the economy went south so I wasn’t employed long. I only enjoyed three years at that telecommunications company and after that, I had to deal with the search-for-job game again. In the meantime, I just helped my parents with their business while waiting for a good opportunity to knock on my door. That is until training about being a medical transcriptionist was shared with me by a friend.

It’s known that jobs in health care are the most sought after nowadays so I didn’t have second thoughts about it and enrolled myself right away. Being a MT has its pros and cons too. We’ve enjoyed the rewards but many companies are having a hard time dealing with their clients from the U.S. and some of them had to give up and that includes the company I was with.

At present, I am still waiting for another opportunity and I have this feeling that it won’t be long until it will come knocking at my door again. Best of luck to me!

Huraaaaah! No More Waiting!

After having to deal with  PC problem for months, our dilemma has finally ended. The technician from the computer store where we got the PC finally got the time to come and repair it. We’ve had the PC for five years and it was really getting slow, most likely because of because of the many programs and files stored in it for our family business.

The technician reprogrammed the PC and it works as good as new now. It loads faster that it used to even with the new scanner software that he installed. Before, I had to wait for about ten minutes before I could start using the PC. That’s how slow it was loading the programs. But now, it is already good to go in just a matter of two minutes. Great!

I Shopped and I Ain’t Dropped; YET!

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

I was at the mall the other day shopping for the luggage that I will need for my upcoming trip. I know it could have been easier if I just shopped online but I just grabbed at the chance of checking the mall since my brother, his wife and my mom were going there. It would have been much more convenient and less tiring if I had made use of those online coupons I have but, oh well, that will not be the last time I will go shopping and my coupons don’t expire.

Those online coupons are really irresistible and if I didn’t control myself, I think I could drop from too much shopping, not to mention destroy my budget. But surprisingly, I was able to stop myself the other day. But I’m not sure if I will still be able to stop myself in the future because it seem like my fingers are already itchy to click the mouse and browse online shops, especially since I didn’t see any luggage that I liked at the mall. Hee hee.

A-okay!

After suffering from colds and cough for a week, I can say, I am now totally a-okay! Yay! What a relief! That cough was my worst. I haven’t had that kind of cough in my 34 years of existence in this world. That was really awful. So awful that I had to use a nebulizer for the first time to relieve me from a congested lungs and difficulty of breathing. Whew!

Now I know how it feels to have tremors after using the nebulizer. I heard my brother mentioned about it before and now I know. I would have freaked out if I didn’t know about it beforehand. The feeling is not nice at all. I feel my muscles shaking and weak.

I’m just glad my ordeal is now over. Thank heavens!

Cold, Cold, Go Away!

Friday, August 13th, 2010

After suffering from a cold and cough for almost a week now, I am feeling a little better and I am definitely on my way to recovery. I’m so glad that everything is almost back to normal with me. I don’t like being sick. I seldom get sick and this cough that I’ve had is one of the worst ones ever in my life and memory. My lungs were congested on Thursday night to the point that there was a whistling sound whenever I breathed. I had so much difficulty breathing that I wasn’t able to get a decent sleep and I felt like I was going to pass out any minute that night.

I didn’t tell anyone because it was already late in the evening and I didn’t want to unnecessarily worry the family. Had it been that they knew, they would have insisted on taking me to the hospital for sure and perhaps, I’d be given a spirometer test and given nebulizer treatment. We do have a nebulizer but I totally forgot about it and only remembered it the following day. My sister borrowed it, and that’s when I found relief, after she returned it and I used it. Whew! That was close! I don’t want to go or stay in the hospital, not at all.

Anyway, I’m feeling almost totally A-okay now and soon enough, I will be good to go again!
