A Special Party

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Our newest bundle of joy, Summer, my brother’s daughter, will already turn a month old on Saturday, June 5th. My brother and his wife are thinking of having a little get-together to celebrate it. Just what I like because for certain, there will be delicious foods to feast on. Hehe.

Anyway, though their daughter is only turning a month old, they are already thinking of having another baby. I was like, “Really?” But their reason is understandable seeing that they’re not getting any younger, so why wait? I even kidded my sister-in-law that I will help her by reading a best prenatal vitamin review so she’ll know what to take this time since she’s obviously not going to get any younger. She laughed because she knew I was just kidding her about her age.

Thinking about them having another baby makes us excited. A baby always brings joy to the family.

A Malling Odyssey

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Finally, my son and I were able to shop for more school things for him yesterday. The mall was jam-packed with shoppers which I should have expected. But luckily, we didn’t have to wait in a long queue at the check out counter because we just so happened to be at the right place at the right time and found a counter with no line when we were ready to check out.

And…going to the mall is not complete without feeding our tummies at our favorite pizza restaurant. Yogi and I had our share of lasagna and pizza again with a glass of iced tea to go it with. We also had the same treat last week on our fist shopping excursion. I might need to be checking on the best fat burning exercise soon if I keep indulging so much. Well, maybe not; all the walking I did in the mall surely burned all those extra calories. Hehe.

Where Are You Hiding Appetite?

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

I’m hungry now but I don’t feel like eating. Maybe I’ll just have to wait until I faint before I feed my tummy. Nah, just kidding! I really don’t have the appetite now. I did smell the aroma of the food mom prepared in the kitchen but it didn’t at all affect my appetite. Well, at least I won’t have anything to burn on the treadmills at the fitness club. Hehe. Oh well, maybe I will regain my appetite in a while. We’ll see about that. But one thing is certain though: I’m not going to skip meals. I’m simply not the type. So, I’ll feed my tummy later, not to worry about that. (“,)

Sleep is Essential to Fight the Fight

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Was there a time in your life that you thought of taking sleeping pills so you could get the sleep that you badly wanted and forget about the many trials and pains that life has brought you?

I was in that situation before and I did think of taking those pills but changed my mind eventually. Life has its ups and downs and it’s up to us how to deal with them. Facing them with courage make us a better and stronger person. But if we’re weak in dealing with them, then that would make us an unhappy individual. And who’s going to suffer? Not only us, but those around us as well. Still, one must be well rested and sharp to deal with life’s issues, so it’s not a weakness if you need help in getting your rest.

Not Me! Or at Least Not Yet

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

There are times that I feel weak in the knees; it’s as they’re folding in two when I walk. Could I possibly be needing joint supplements for that? Well, I don’t think so. I know I’m not getting any younger, but I’m not so old that I should be needing those supplements. In time, I’m pretty sure I will but not now yet. Please! LOL.

Maybe I was just tired then or perhaps hungry. They say those could be reasons. It doesn’t happen frequently though. Only sometimes and it’s not truly alarming. If it was to continue happening, or recur when I’m in my 40’s, then that might be a reason to be alarmed. But I’ll deal with that when, and if, it happens.

“Head” ‘Em Off at the Pass!

Blackheads…blackheads…blackheads! Who wouldn’t whine about it? I definitely can’t raise my hand for it’s been my problem ever since I reached my teenage years. I’ve had facials several times and it got rid of them, but only temporarily for they come back after a while no matter how much I wash and clean my face.

Maybe I should just look for a good treatment for blackheads that will get rid of them totally and forever. That would be the best thing to do I do believe. But maybe you have something to recommend. Please let me know; I’d really appreciate it!

The Mall Mauled My Legs!

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

As I expected, since I hadn’t been out in quite awhile, the other day’s malling odyssey made my feet and legs sore as if I had had an hour’s run on the treadmill at full speed. I know my three inch heels were the culprit. I did think of wearing flip-flops because I knew for certain that I had a lot of things to shop for in regard to my son’s school stuff and that I’d be on my feet for a long time doing much walking. But we went to a client’s office before we headed to the mall and I didn’t think it would be appropriate to wear flip-flops to the office, so I opted to wear heels.

My feet are okay now, but my legs are another story entirely; they’re still throbbing with pain. No problem though. It will vanish in a day or two. But that experience may have been a not-so-subtle hint that I might need to consider a daily treadmill workout so I could shop as much as I want without dropping. (“,)
