Overhead Crystalline Beauty

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

I watched this POPULAR Philippines entertainment show last Sunday and I was surprised to learn that the two hosts – both well known celebrities – were both collecting chandeliers. Imagine that! I never thought someone would collect such a thing. Well, they are beautiful but it’s a fact that they are expensive and would definitely cost you a lot.

But it’s not the cost that surprised me with that kind of collection because those two celebrities certainly can afford buying as many as they want. I just never considered that chandeliers would be a collectible item. One chandelier would be enough for me. However, if I could afford to buy more, then, why not? I’d probably have one hanging in every room of my house! (“,)

Busy Li’l Bumble Bee

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

The previous three days plus today has just been so hectic for me. It was my son Yogi’s school recognition day on Friday and Thursday was spent shopping for his needs. Half of the day on Friday was spent for his recognition in school and the rest of the day was spent with colleagues. It was the deadline of our case’s submission and there were a lot of things that needed to be done.

Yesterday, Saturday was payroll day for our family’s business and today, Sunday is Yogi’s birthday. I’ve been busy since this morning preparing the house for tonight’s li’l party but being the multi-tasker that I always am, I still managed to squeeze in a little time for my online journal, thus, I’m here blabbing. Hehe.

There are still more things to be done here in prep for tonight so I think I need to go and start rumbling. (“,)

Thank Goodness for Battery Power

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

It’s hot, though gloomy, and even gloomier because of the power outage due to the rotating brownouts in my area. What a day! I’m glad we have our ipods to keep us (my son and I) company. At least we can enjoy listening to music and forget what we’re going through at the moment. Listening to music is a good relaxing pastime, and it can help you forget your troubles and help you pass the time while singing along with the music, and before we know it, maybe our power will be back on. Or maybe we’ll just doze off and take a nap and wake up to lights. Whatever! I’m just enjoying the music I’ve downloaded.

And thankfully, this laptop of mine is fully charged so I can blab here while listening to my ipod. But still, I can feel the heat because we have no fans or air conditioning. Oh well, can’t do anything about it.

All Work and No Play; Not An Option

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Yesterday was such an exhausting day for me. It was the deadline for the submission of our case to the court of appeals and I wasn’t aware of it until my former colleague told me. The day was spent sorting and photocopying documents. We managed to make time to have our lunch to quiet our growling tummies, and we were even able to squeeze in a little playtime on one of the restaurant’s foosball tables while waiting for our food to be served. But the good thing is, we were able to get the needed job done, though it was exhausting, and the short time of fun and relaxation we fit into our day made it easier to deal with.

It’s 3 o’clock

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

And we only have an hour left to enjoy the coolness of the A/C. As always, we still are experiencing rotational brownouts everyday but the good things is, the power company already gave their consumers leaflets of the power outages schedule giving us a heads up of when the power will be out thus, turning off our appliances before it will go… POOF! And today our schedule is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. That’s three hours there.

We could still use the PCs though because we have a generator. We can use the electric fans too but nothing can be comfier than the A/C with the weather that we have now. Oh well, we can’t do anything about it so I just have to satisfy myself with an electric fan and be thankful too that at least I have one. (“,)

An Angel’s Touch

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

My fiancé told me he was going to renovate his home and make it a castle fit for his Angel to land at. And he’s really excited about that, though we still have a few dusty roads to travel before I get to land there. But he has already been window shopping for new home decor last weekend, as well as some outdoor decor too. He’s already found a lot he likes, and his favorite piece of outdoor décor that he found was a stainless grill that would be perfect on the back deck. But he’s going to wait for my arrival before he buys anything because he wants my approval of the choices he’s made.

I trust my fiancé’s tastes, but being the always sweet person that he is, he wants my input on the redecorating and renovation choices he’s made because it will then not only be his home, but “our” home. And as he likes to say, no home can truly be a home unless it’s shared together with a lady love and has had her special signature touch put upon it. I can hardly wait until I can begin touching! (“,)
