When you're down…

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

… and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name,
And you know whereever I am
Ill come running, oh yeah baby
To see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall,
All you have to do is call
And Ill be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You’ve got a friend.

My BA and I sang this song earlier… a duet on the internet (if that’s how you call it). LOL. The song just popped out and I started typing its lyrics while we were chatting. Maybe because we’re both down now. Yes, we’ve been both traveling dusty roads lately but such is life and I do believe, we’ll get over this in time. I’m just so thankful that my BA is always there to comfort me, support me and understand me despite everything that he’s going through.

Aside from Yogi, he’s the one who’s been giving me strength to get on with life’s struggles. I’m just praying that he’ll always be there for me, no matter what. Thanks a lot, my Big Angel. Mwah!

Tiger and Lily

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

BA’s cats and his long-time buddies. They’ve been with each other for years and they sleep with him on his bed too, mind you. That’s how sweet those two cats can be to my BA. And I do hear their “Meow” whenever BA and I talk on the phone. They’re probably jealous of me, huh? Nah, they were just saying “Hi,” I guess. Hee Hee.

But as life has its ending, Tiger’s life ended today. It was  the sad news that I got from BA first thing in the morning. I talked about Tiger on my other blog because I want to dedicate all my writings for today to him. I may not have met him for real but knowing that he’s my BA’s buddy made me feel sad too about his death. Farewell, Tiger…

Foam Party

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

It was on the 5th of September, the day of the Tuna Festival itself when the people in our city enjoyed another night of partying. It was called foam party and it was held at the parking area of the hotel where my BA stayed.

I took this picture around mid afternoon from the window of my BA’s hotel room. As you can see, they were starting to decorate the place and was able to finish around early evening. The party started at around 9 o’clock and we were there together with my girlfriends and BA of course to witness awesome live band music. I’m not so into this kind of parties and it was my first time to have witnessed a foam party actually.

It was called a foam party basically because of the foam machines that the organizers installed in front of the stage. It’s cool. The foam comes out from the two machines and the wind blew them away. But they should have put more machines around the area to make it more fun! But that was good enough.

It's Raining Cats and Dogs

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Wow! Rain is pouring hard now and I can’t remember the last time we had this heavy downpour. The weather has been so hot lately, so hot like the heat penetrates deep down to your bones. Yeah, that’s how hot it is here.

Glad it’s raining now. I so love it when it rains because it’s cool and it feels good to just lie down in bed, daydream and doze off eventually. I still haven’t had my nap this afternoon though. I feel sleepy but I’m still in the mood to update my blogs so later. Hee hee.

I wonder when will the rain stop. Looks like it’ll be raining until tomorrow. That would really be so cool. (“,)

It Feels Good…

Monday, October 5th, 2009

…to have my toes cleaned. A manicurist went here for a home service pedicure and oh boy, I was just so glad. I usually have my pedicure every two weeks but sometimes, laziness gets in my way so I don’t go to the parlor to have it done. I just wait for manicurist to drop by and this morning, our neighbor which is mom’s friend called informing mom that her manicurist was at their home and asked mom if she wanted her service too, and that’s it, mom and I had our toes cleaned.

It’s been a month already that I haven’t had it cleaned. Of course I do clean it myself regularly but it’s different the way a manicurist does it because I couldn’t get rid of the cuticles and dry skin the way she can. And now, my toes are free from cuticles and dry skin and it really feels good.

Glad To See Her Again

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

My son Yogi had his field trip this morning at a Garden which is about a thirty minute ride from our city. All the grade levels from their school joined the field trip. I forgot that my close friend’s daughter is Yogi’s schoolmate so I was able to see my friend again there. I call her Lilet though some calls her Anne, and she’s a friend since high school though we became really close when we became officemates at Pocketbell, a telecommunications company.

Anyway, I never expected to see her there and I was totally surprised when she called me. She’s a dear friend, my maid of honor during my wedding and she’s Yogi’s Godmother too. My BA met her during my birthday and though they haven’t talked much that night but I know they’ll get to know each other more soon, I hope.

We only talked a little there because we’re both busy with our little kiddos. And she’ll be leaving for U.A.E. on the 21st already. She mentioned it to me during my birthday and though I was a little surprised but I know she’ll do it for the best of everybody and her husband’s already there waiting for her. Happy trip, Let and all the best for you. Mwah!
